Welcome to the world guide on resources for youth policies, programmes and activities
One of the most important problems confronting a national youth policy and various youth programmes and activities, is the issue of resources. However, it is often not very easy for those responsible (especially young people) to identify and obtain the resources necessary sufficiently to plan, implement, evaluate and re-direct such youth policies, programmes and activities on a sustained basis.
This gap of information on resources has led the ICNYP to prepare this World Guide.
In one part, the Guide presents profiles, links, and contacts of organizations from various parts of the world which provide different types of resources for youth policies...
In the other part, in order to facilitate your work, the Guide provides a manual of guidelines and a select bibliography for research on resources for youth policies...
The ICNYP Resource Team expresses its sincere thanks to the UNESCO INFOYOUTH Service for its material support for the preparation and launching of this on-line World Guide and to the National Commission for UNESCO of the Republic of Korea for its nomination and backing of this project.
The Guide is a follow up of a UNESCO sponsored World Directory in 1993 and the ICNYP Resource Team intends to up-date and improve this Guide on a regular basis. We welcome your reactions and suggestions, and we hope you find the Guide useful in your search for resources for youth policies, programmes and activities.
Happy Surfing!
